Gnomes are a powerful species, often thought as mythic by humans. They usually live to be about 1000 years old. A curse was placed on Gnomes by the gods after they were rude to them. Any normal Gnome that sets foot on Earth will become statue-like. They predicted, however, that one day, a Gnome would come to Earth and not be affected.
